Each of those are iconic in their own age. All of them are uniquely American in their own time and place.
generically you could list
muzzle loader
Shotgun
Revolver
Lever action
double barrel coach gun/shotgun
1911/semi auto pistol
Garand
M16
modern ar15
and the one gun that should not be on the list but absolutely has to be. The glock, because there are an estimated 20 million of the that have been sold here in the US and it holds 65% of the market in pistols. Maybe a little grace given as they have made them here in the US for a while in Georgia but it is not a US designed gun.
M1 Garand seems to be missing. I do like the Model 94.
Ma Deuce.
All due respect to Sam Colt and Eugene Stoner, but Saint John Moses Browning stands alone.
The 1911 and BAR both belong on this list, but the M2 is the clear winner.
Gatling gun
My thought..,1911 Colt .45.
Model 94. 130 yr old design and still in use. Love my 30-39
Typo: 30-30
