About Me
Why I’m Writing Here
If you’re reading this, welcome. I’m glad you found your way here.
I’ve spent most of my professional life communicating—whether through writing, photography, videography, broadcasting, podcasting, editing, media appearances, or all other sorts of real and imagined media. Basically, I have an unquenchable desire to share stories and help people understand complex topics without the noise and spin. Along the way I have realized, even in this world of 1.5-second attention spans, that some thoughts don’t belong in a social media post or a 60-second Short. They need room to breathe.
That’s what this space is for.
Here you’ll find clear, direct writing about the things that matter to me: the outdoors, the Second Amendment, personal responsibility, preparedness, leadership, communication, media, and the everyday decisions that shape our lives more than the headlines do. I’m less interested in chasing trends and more interested in sharing experiences and practical insight you can actually use.
Expect honesty. Expect occasional strong opinions. Expect stories—some from my own experience via lessons learned the hard way or from folks I find intriguing. What you won’t find is fluff and only minimal commercial interruption.
I’m writing this both for you and for me. Writing forces clarity, and clarity is in short supply these days.
If you subscribe, you can expect posts that are:
Entertaining
Practical rather than theoretical
Thoughtful but straightforward
Respectful of your time
Sometimes challenging
My goal is simple: when you finish reading, you should feel like it was time well spent.
If that sounds worthwhile, stick around. We’re just getting started.
